In the many islands of the Florida Keys there are several natural waterways that cut through from the Atlantic Ocean to Florida Bay: Jewfish Creek, Tavernier Creek, Snake Creek, etc.There is one waterway that is an exception: MARVIN D. ADAMS WATERWAY, also know as Adams Cut., located at approximately mile marker 103.6. Marvin D. Adams bought the land and undertook the half-mile cut through the limestone of the upper portion of Key Largo. The passageway allows boats to pass through with a mean depth of 14 feet.
