COUSTEAU SPLASHES DOWN IN THE FLORIDA KEYS!





FABIEN COUSTEAU, the filmmaker grandson of legendary oceanographer JACQUES COUSTEAU, embarks June 1st on a 31-day mission in the underwater research lab, AQUARIUS REEF BASE. Aquarius is an underwater research lab operated by FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (FIU) located in 66 feet of water on Conch Reef in the ocean off Key Largo in the Florida Keys. Cousteau's more than 4 weeks of filmmaking and research is the longest on Aquarius to date and seeks to break his grandfather's 30-day 1963 underwater mission on the Conshelf (Continental Shelf Station). Cousteau and his team will conduct daily Skype video calls with classrooms from around the world and The Weather Channel and Cousteau's website, mission-31.com, will be providing live reports throughout the mission.
